Phone locks up when trying to unlock, also at random

Just wondering if anyone has experienced their Galaxy S6 Edge Plus locking up on them when they go to wake it up.

Mine just happens out of the blue, I will go to wake it up and the screen just stays black. Or it will appear some delayed time after I click the home or power button and then go black really fast. Can attempt multiple times, but if you wait like 10-20 seconds, it comes right. Seems something is screwing it up, but its not all the time.

other times you can get into your phone to go and do something, and its just on the go slow, again if you wait a little while it comes right.

I have tried all sorts of things, disabling programs, and even did a factory reset, but still it does it.

It may be best to contact Samsung customer support about it. If within warranty they may repair or replace.

My device use to do it daily but something (app or software) has been updated as it hasn't happened for 2-3 weeks now. I couldn't pinpoint the cause or what's changed.

Mine does that at random too. When it happens my phone is overheating and when texting, it lags and freezes intermittently. Quite annoying, thought the processor was supposed to be able to handle multiple functions. Sometimes I notice it happens when I'm listening to tunein radio app. Very frustrating and resetting doesn't help much.

I am facing similar issue on edge s6. It has started after Marshmallow update.
It is so annoying , I am forced to use my old S5.
I have tried anything including factory reset, which eliminates the possible application issue.
Did you by any chance find any working solution.
