Phone not appearing on desktop

I have tried different usb cables, but still cannot get my phone to appear on my Apple desktop. Would anyone have any suggestions? I'm just looking to make file transfer as painless as possible.

Are you using the HTC Syn Manager available for MAC - Apple? If you are not download it and install it and it will make your life easier for what you want to do.

Thanks! So with the sync manager, the phone and it's corresponding folders will appear there, and I can drag and drop?
