Hey team,

I got my X wet one day and the only thing that stopped working was the menu key. I turned it off one night and now it will not boot up, stays on the M. I have tried to SBF with RSD Lite 4.8 back to froyo, but the phone will not boot up after the re-flash. Need some help here.

I just had the same exact problem. My phone randomly rebooted itself the other day and was stuck on the M. I was able to get into bootloader (but not stock recovery), so I tried to SBF a few times. The SBF would complete successfully, but I was still stuck on the M after SBFing and was unable to get into stock recovery in order wipe data and cache. My phone is working again, but I didn't do anything to it. I simply removed the battery and stopped using the phone for about 36 hours. I recharged the battery today, put it back in the phone, and did another SBF. This time, the phone booted like normal and I was able to get into stock recovery.

I can second the battery removal process as the seemingly best fix for the M logo problem with SBF'ng in Froyo and GB. I had my shares off SBFing myself, lol and each time the M logo was stuck I would pull the battery at least for a half hour. Some say it works, some say it doesnt but it did for me. Once I started SBFing with 4.9 I didnt have any problems either. Finicky devices but always willing to accept a solution
