phone not going into deep sleep ?!?!?!

I'm currently using gsam battery monitor on my Google pixel XL. There are times I do not use my phone for an hour or so and upon checking my battery stats in the phones settings the graph is showing a steady decline ...it never levels off flat to indicate it had went into a deep doze session. So I downloaded gsam and it is showing that it enters light doze but never a deep doze ..any clue what can be causing this ? I'll try to include a screenshot

Yes, there must be an app the you have installed that is keeping open a wakelock.

Try going into the Usage details for each top consumer and checking the Keep Awake. It would be easiest to do this once the phone is fully charged. Then the battery stats reset.
