Phone not waking up from sleep sometimes

I've had a strange issue over just the past 3 or 4 days. I've had my phone for about 3 weeks and have had no issues at all until just a couple of days ago. No new apps that I can think of installed in that time frame. Sometimes the phone just won't wake up with the power button - I have to hold it down for 10 seconds to do a hard reboot. I've even seen the signal light flicker in the past.

The only thing I can think of is if maybe it's an issue with JuiceDefender's auto brightness stuff. Anyone else had an issue like this before? I like Juice Defender's auto brightness stuff - it's made a good impact on my battery life and I don't see any entries in the logs for Juice Defender since like 9AM even though I've used my phone since then so no proof there either.

Any ideas? Tools I can use to debug this? I'm new to Android, as well.

Thanks,

Elton

I have a similar issue where it might take two or three presses of the power button to wake up the phone, but I've never had to hard reboot to get it to wake up.

We call that the "sleep of death". It could be an app problem, or it could be a hardware problem. I would start by uninstalling juice defender and see if your phone does it again. If it does, try other apps you think could be the culprit. If you run out of ideas try a full factory reset. If that doesn't fix it then take it in to Sprint.
