Phone on WiFi?

Just wondering if you folks put your phone on your Verizon Wi-Fi if you are using a hotspot for internet? I'm trying to figure out if that is a good or bad thing or somewhere in the middle. There doesn't seem to be any need to use Wi-Fi for my phone at home.

I'd say power.... Pushing data over a strong WiFi signal will always use less power than any LTE connection. And that difference gets magnified as that LTE connecting gets weaker.
