Phone only goes to the charging mode, HELP!

My brother's V is randomly having issues. Out of nowhere the phone will only go to turned off battery mode were it just shows the phone charging while the phone isn't on. I have no idea why this is happening.

It is running Harmonia 2.0. I managed to get to the recovery once with a lot of patience. It has been running flawlessly with no problems. Anyone know what the issue could be? He REALLY needs his phone as it is very important to him. Any information would be appreciated ASAP!

Another thing I would like to note is that I also put my battery in the phone aswell. It still gave the same problem. I tried with the charger plugged in and without.

if you can still access recovery, have you tried full wipe/format/reflash rom/ reflash gapps?... have you tried restoring a backup?.. (always backup before flashing)...

Also, try and disable overclock for a day and see if that solves it. I think many people assume that their phones OC flawlessly because they don't see the subtle errors underneath - they only notice FCs and reboots.

If it still reboots without overclock, it's definitely something else, of course. If disabling OC solves it, you can try again with a lower OC. As LeslieAnn often says, one or two notches down from what appears stable is probably where you should be.

Wait, it just occurred to me: Is the problem that he cannot boot the phone while it's plugged in?

In that case simple, just hold down power button till the LG logo shows. This is a consequence of IHO now supporting offline charging. Essentially charging and turning it on works like stock ROM now.
