Phone overheated, circle case was the cause?

I had my G3 in the front pocket of my shorts yesterday while working on a deck. I heard my text sound go off, so I pulled the phone out of my pocket, and I was greeted by a hot as hell phone, and a message telling me it was going to shut down to protect itself. From what I can tell, somehow the flashlight from my circle apps activated while in my pocket, causing it to overheat. I always put the phone in my pocket with the screen facing in, but I'm wondering if I have to turn it around so as to not activate the screen?

Never had an issue with mine in the quick circle case, might be worth investing in a tempered glass screen protector. I know since fitting one to my G3 that it's lowered the screen sensitivity slightly which might suit you.

Just a thought but was there anything else in your pocket, pretty strange as it needs a double tap to activate the screen as well

I don't know anything about these "tempered glass" screen protectors. Are they easy to install? Also, I had nothing else in my pocket.
