Ok, so for all those who use the stock HTC keyboard or another keyboard that has the standard 9 tile phone pad. Do you use qwerty or do you use the old school T9?

I'm curious because i've had smart phones for several years now. Most of them having a full qwerty keyboard. some having a compact version.

but i find myself using the 9 tile phone pad keyboard. idk if its just easier for one handed typing or what.

so how many ppl go old school and T9 it up.

I've had QWERTY phones ever since I've had texting (for some reason I couldn't text at all before a texting plan was added to the account). I'm really bad a T9.

i had a blackberry pearl for a short while and hated the compact qwerty keyboard. but that could have just been the buttons. they sucked. i'll try it on my Inc.

anyone else want to contribute?

i find that the compact is really slow unless you are already use to it. i tried it and don't know where each letter is by heart. if i use it for a while i'm sure i'll get faster. but i am already use to the phone keypad.

anyone else

I use the qwerty. I was so happy to get away from T9 when I got a full keyboard and never looked back.

The compact qwerty is nice. I can really up my typing speeds with it, but it becomes a pain putting in people's names and passwords.

Compact here. Still like it over everything else, and I was fast on itap;) as for names and passwords just flip it sideways, what I do anyway.

I'm gonna go ahead and give the compact a try. I am wicked good with the T9 so hopefully in a few days I'll be doing well with the compact. Any tips for it?

sure, that's a possibility. But it is a pain to flip the phone over every time I want to enter in names and passwords.

Ok so I'm getting better with the compact. It's hot a steep learning curve when you're used to either qwerty or keypad. Not sure if I'm gonna stick with it tho

What setting do you have checked in the touch input settings.

For qwerty and for compact and keypad
