Phone reboots randomly

I have an Optimus V which originally had stock OS (android 2.2.2) on it. It reboots at least once a day. I recently updated the OS to Harmonia 2.09 hoping that would fix the problem. It has not. The phone is not overclocked. I also got it a new microSD card and that has not changed the problem either.

The only pattern that I've noticed is it mostly (but not always) happens around midnight, minutes to hours after using JeFit app.

Any ideas are deeply appreciated I've already read similar threads and none of them suggested something I haven't tried!

Overclock it to 480/787 SmartAss2. Test that.


Does it happen while on 3G or Wi-Fi? I get reboots randomly as well.

Well, did you try a fresh restore and not installing that app?

Can you also list the exact steps you take when flashing a new ROM?

I don't use wi-fi but 3G is always on. Why would I overclock it? Harmonia 2.09 is pretty snappy already.

I had the problem before on stock OS too, so custom ROM shouldn't be the issue. I will try uninstalling all music apps as well as JeFit and see if it makes any difference, although I doubt it.

Just to give an update, I uninstalled all apps on my cell and problem still persists. At this point I believe it's a hardware problem. I got the phone more than a year ago so I think it's out of warranty as well.

whats ur cpu running at it could be a simple overclock fix, are u doing something one minute and the phone freezes and does a random reboot or is it a sneak up from behind kinda reboot and also is it rebooting from the boot animation or is it a full cycle? also ud overclock even though its running pure its still not loading some cache as fast i belive it dopends on the issue
