Phone saying different contact name

So sometimes when I get a call from *mike* it says 'paul Benjamin irish". Or instead of RJ it says "call from Carolass"? Usually when i have earbuds in.

Do you mean that you hear the name spoken to you through the earbuds, or does it display incorrectly on the phone screen?

Which earbuds are you using?

Perhaps it's the caller ID for someone you don't yet have in your contact list. I have that happen often, and it's always because the caller just recently received that particular phone number and the ID is for the previous owner of that number.
