Phone screen not going on?

Is anyone having an issue where you get a notification and you try to click your home button (or even your power button) and nothing turns on? The screen does not light up. This happened to me twice in a row, and I ended up having to do two hard restarts. Thx.

Two general things to try, if you haven't already:

1. Wipe the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-24999

2. Try Safe Mode, to see if the problem is due to a 3rd party app: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-25053

just press the volume down and power button simultaneously until the phone reboots, everything should return to normal afterwards and all your data should be as you had it before the screen went black

The OP mentioned doing 2 hard restarts already (not sure if this means forced shutdowns or factory resets), but the issue sounds like it's recurring--so I'm not sure if forcing another shutdown would necessarily help.
