Phone showing Headset in but it isnt

Help yall! So i've tried the q-tip cleaning method and thats not solving the problem. When i try to make a call it will toggle between headsets and the actual phone. I have to put it on speaker phone to avoid that problem or use my earbuds. Anybody know of a fix other than an app to regulate this?

Your headphone jack is probably damaged and will need to be replaced. It's a very easy job if you are up for it:
