Phone starting in Speaker mode problem - Need Help!

I just got a replacement EVO because the earpeice speaker was blown on my first one, major distortion during calls.

Everything is working great with the new one exept now when I answer an incoming call or try to make a call, the phone always starts in speaker phone. I can hit the speaker button to switch it back, but it is really annoying to answer a call and hear the persons voice blasting out of the back of the phone. I have tried looking through everything, but can't find a way to change it.

Is there anyway to change the setting so that the phone starts in normal mode?

Does anybody else have this problem, or know a way to fix it?

Nobody knows a way I can fix this? I would really appreciate any suggestions!

Back up your apps and try a factory reset. If that does not work go back to the store and tell them that you need a replacement for the defective replacement phone they gave you.

I had the same problem one day but a simple restart fixed it.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I have already tried restarting, battery pulls, and factory reset. Nothing fixes the problem, I was hoping I was just overlooking an option in a menu somewhere.

I guess it is back to the Sprint store and another long wait to get another replacement!

I got lucky today - I took the phone in to get it checked out and they couldn't fix it so they replaced it on the spot with a new one (instead of a refurbished one that I had to wait 2 weeks for last time)!

I haven't found anything wrong with this one, I hope it stays that way!
