Phone still on 4.1.2?

Hi all,

I'm helping everyone with their phones on Thanksgiving, and there is a AT&T HTC One thats still on 4.1.2. When I check for a software update it says there are no updates available. Anyone got some tips on what I should do?

try advancing the date forward by two days.

Are you checking for updates in 'Settings -> About Phone', or in the ATT Software Update section of Settings? I helped my wife update her phone the other day when I found out she was still on 4.1.2. I didn't even know there were separate places to check for updates because I've been on custom ROMs almost the whole time I've had it.

Go to Settings-> ATT Software Update (or something to that effect, it's towards the bottom of Settings). You will probably have to install 2 or 3 updates in total if they are still on 4.1.2 and they take a while to download.

Or you can go to htc.com/us and install HTC SYNC MANAGER and then download the att version 4.3 and install it manually. That's what I did. I kept checking and nothing. Only took me 20 minutes. On the PC. Instructions are easy to follow

My phone "installed" 4.3, but when it booted nothing was different and the firmware was still listed as 4.1.2.. quite strange, but i will try the manual installation method above.
