Phone stopped functioning as a phone, how can I fix this?

Phone stopped functioning as a phone.

Over the weekend I upgraded my My HTC One software Andoid 4.4.3. during the upgrade it had gone through multiple rebooting over a day or so. The the phone decided to stop the function of phone calls. People can call me but when I pick it up there is no noise, just silence, they can't hear me and I can't hear them. This is the same when I make calls, the phone doesn't ring on my end yet it can be picked up by the receiver of the call, but still silence on both ends.

Try clearing the cache partition on the phone to see if that fixes it. If that doesn't you might need to do a factory reset.
