Phone stuck in roaming almost 24 hours.

my phone is stuck in roaming and has been all day, even after an hour on the phone with Verizon. Please help. Losing my mind.
I've gone through all the taking out the battery and restarting like 3 times.

I've tried to dial the numbers the rep gave me to reactivate the phone but they are stuck in roaming too.

I CAN text, oddly. But that's all. i'm a senior, alone, and I really need my phone to work. Anybody out there?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about roaming for voice calls or roaming for 3G/4G mobile data? Which LG Optimus phone do you have? There are quite a few different models.

Open your Phone app, tap Menu>Settings>Call Settings, and look for an option there for roaming. See if you can turn roaming off there, or force it to prefer your carrier.
