phone suddenly has horrible service for no reason?

all the sudden at around 6pm today my phone has been having horrible service, like no bars and everything, i havent done anything to mess anything up, im running blazer rom with ktoons kernel

and everything was perfect until just a bit ago, horrible service, cant text, i tried updating the profile and prl, i even upgraded to the ma6 modem and its just crummy

my brother is not having any issues (he has a iphone but where in the same areas so the towers if they were to blame would be affecting us both)

any ideas?

That happens to me, not often, but it happens. It happens even on a stock ROM. I think it is just Sprint though.

Once every couple months this would happen to me stock mod and all but it was mostly the data service completely cutting off. I had chalked it up to sprint throttling my data back for watching netflix all night long over a wifi teather and using about a tb of data a month. Each time it actually seemed that they just shut off a couple of the major towers that I get my data from for maintenance. I can't prove this for sure but my phone would hook in to other wifi and make/receive calls fine and as soon as I drove a few miles south BOOM I would get all my texts that had been piled up over the day and data would suddenly work fine. I checked my plan and confirmed it was unlimited, I also called an asked If I was getting throttled back. Each time it was less than 18 hours blacked out then it came back full power. I've also had this happen by canada and mexico borders but I think in those areas they are trying to slam me with some kind of roaming charge.

If Sprint is upgrading the service in your area random issues with service availability are normal.
