Phone unlocked without PIN

I doubled tapped my phone to wake it and instead of asking for my PIN, I just had to swipe to get to my home screen. I can't seem to duplicate the issue, but has this happened to anyone else?

How quickly did you double-tap to wake it up since putting it to sleep? There is a timeout that may apply here.

I don't believe this was my issue...I tried everything, including the time out, to duplicate the issue and I can't...

Perhaps clear cache and data in the Lockscreen Settings app, and set up PIN again if necessary?
