Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else ran into the issue of their phones getting hot. I was only talking on my phone and it got very hot, I am noticing that it is getting hot without use. Is there a way to stop this, it gets hot to the point where I have to remove it from my ear. Any suggestions is always appreciated. Thank you all In Advance.

Usually if it's cranking on something it will heat up... in my case once when I was using the Navigation feature and it was sitting on my lap I noticed it... maybe there was something running in the background that cause this with your device... I wouldn't think the phone itself would case it, it has to be another app.

Hi Fat,

How do I find out what it is and how hot the phone is?

Hi Fat,

How do I find out what it is and how hot the phone is?

I think, but have not used, a couple battery widget apps that also give you temperature on the display... as to app, you will need to go into Settings > Applications > Manage applications > click on Running tab > then look through the apps that are running in the background... look for apps that are graphic intense... like Google Maps, Navigation, Facebook can do this if it's syncing... just check though the list.. it will be long, and not everything will hurt your system and most are necessary... but if you loaded the app after you purchased your device you should look closely at those... hope this helps.

download "battery monitor widget" from the android market. hottest my phone got was 129.7?F.

you can also download "system panel lite" and it will tell you what is currently using cpu power.
