Sounds good here. A little raspy and tinny but that's about average for me and CDMA phones.

It sounds awful for me, like I'm talking in a puddle of mud. Coming from AT&T I was some crisp voice quality on VZW.

hmm... I don't have my X yet but as far as my BB storm goes... it's crystal clear over the network. Never had any issues with poor sound.

I have no complaints about voice quality with my DX, and I can't recall that there has been an "issue" with it in this forum.

Is it possible you just have a defective unit? Why not just run into a VZN store and do a comparison?

I think this may be regional effect and based, in part, on signal integrity. Voice and call quality for me:

Droid X on Verizon >> Moto RAZR2's and Blackberrys on AT&T
