OK. So I picked up my Note 7 (N930F) on Friday and all has been good up until tonight. The phone was on charge, (about 80%). I took it off the charge, sent one text message and about 30 seconds later it booted to the Note 7 splash screen and is now unresponsive. Have tried a booting to recovery (Power, Volume up and home) nothing happened. After much frustration and conversation with Samsung support, I have managed to finally get the phone to power down and charge by pushing the power and volume key down with the charging cable plugged in. I'm going to wait until it is fully charged and then try to restart.

Has anyone else encountered an issue like this? If so, have you resolved it and discovered what the problem is?

I'd be taking that bad boy back and exchanging it!

Yep, I'm about to head right down to the retailer now. I'm just worried that they will not have stock to exchange and I'll be without my phone!! Annoying.

I had a similar situation with my Note 5 turns out it was rogue app

Not the case with mine as I was able to eventually boot into recovery and safe mode, but then there were other errors. Anyway, good news is that I have just exchanged it. Annoying part is having to set it all up again. Hope it is not going to be a common hardware issue.
