Okay my DI has always connected to my MAC and PC no problems. I alway get the notification drop down that allows me to select charge, disk drive, etc.. I connected to my PC at work today and copied a few files over to the phone. Now at home I have tried connecting to my MAC and PC and it is not being recognized by either. No notification, no options. I have re-booted the phone and still nothing. Any help?

You may have accidentally checked the "Don't Ask Me Again" box and that is why the options aren't popping up when you plug it in.

In Settings, under Connect to PC, I have the "Ask Me about USB connection type whenever I connect my phone to a PC" check marked. I would think this should cause my phone to be recognized. This is very frustrating.

Go into SETTINGS and then choose CONNECT TO PC. Make sure ASK ME is checked. If it was unchecked then that will fix your issue. If it wa salready cecked then there is something else going on.

If you did, when you connect, you can drag down from the top of your phone and access it again, I believe. Secondly, do you have HTC sync installed on your other computer?

WOW, I used a different USB cable and it is working fine now. The other cable was just allowing the phone to be charged. WEIRD!

I had the EXACT same problem. It appears that one of my USB cables does not perform data transfer from my droid to either my Mac or PC. But another USB cable DOES. Interestingly, the USB cable that does has tags on it that advertise connecting to a "computer" (I put that in quotes because it doesn't specify Mac or PC). If anyone needs to get a USB cable that works, the model number of my USB cable is DIC6MUSB DC1213.
