Phone won't hold a charge?

I have the Samsung Conquer 4g. I had it for about 3 months, and then it just stopped charging. When I plug in the charger, it will show that it's charging for a split second, and then not charge. The only way to get it to hold the charge is by pushing the charger to the right. And even then, all it does is drain the battery. I thought it was the charger itself, but I bought at least 5 different chargers and none solved the problem, so I thought it might be the battery, but before I bought one, I went to Sprint store for their opinion. They told me it could be the battery or the phone itself, but they couldn't fix it because they didn't have their repair center set up yet. So I went home and ordered a new battery, and guess what? It didn't work. So I bought another one just in case, and it still didn't work. So I took it to a different Sprint store and told them my situation, hoping they could fix it. All they did was give me a fully charged battery and said the battery was bad. Obviously, a fully charged battery is going to make my phone work, but when it died, the charging problem was still there. And they told me it isn't the phone. What do I do? Do I have to buy a new phone? Or is there a way to fix this? I miss my phone.

If moving the cable in the phone's connector "fixes" it, and you've tried multiple chargers, the problem is probably with the connector in the phone. Wait, did the chargers you used have their own cable, or are you using the same cable each time. If so, it could be the cable is bad.

But if it's the phone's charging jack, your only viable option is probably to try to find an external charger that will work with your batteries or return the phone to Samsung for warranty repair.

It's simple... Your phone connectors are bad... You need to goto some phone shop and get it fixed.

There is no point in parroting what Meyer has already suggested. If you plan to keep the phone a while, you might be able to find a spare battery and charger, one that charges just the battery like a dock. However, this price may be about $50 or more, and if you are due for an upgrade, I would consider upgrading instead as it is more cost effective. Assuming it is the connector in the phone, you now cannot connect your phone to your PC, so sharing files, and doing some backups are not possible.

The only way to prove the point is bring your phone in when the battery is about 30% and ask them to put it on their chargers. 5 minutes should not be a big deal. If it doesn't charge in front of them, you have done two things; 1. Eliminated if it is your cables or your phone, and 2. shown Sprint that it is not accepting a charge.
