Phone won't recognize my swipes and touches

I just got the Nexus S 4G, got a refurb one coming from an EVO. The EVO had issues and Sprint said I could get a refurb Nexus, instead of a refurb EVO.

The phone is nice. But for some reason sometimes it won't register my swipes or touches. It just lags and I have to turn the screen off and on again. I don't know why it does it.

I don't know if it is a bad unit or if this is common. The EVO had similar hardware, but it wasn't nearly as bad. The lag is pretty bad, and sometimes i swipe and it takes 2-3 seconds for it even to register, if at all.

I picked up my NS4G in the same fashion and yours should not experience this.

Take it back and get another reburb. That's not normal.

It isn't normal. I've had instances where sometimes the launcher freezes and it won't recognize my touch input but that was sporadic. Changing to a different launcher has fixed this troublesome bug for me.
