Hi everyone,

So I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which I got sometime in the late Summer of 2017, and the problem is is that it doesn't work with any power bank. I've gotten three so far, one at my university which I don't remember the name of, Tzumi Mini Portable Smartphone and Tablet Battery Pack Charger (6000 mAh) , and the Anker PowerSpeed 10,000 QC (10000 mAh). None of them work on my phone, however the Tzumi one works on my kindle fire.

I've tried switching cables around too. I'm currently using a white samsung cable plugged directly into the S7 and it's charging fine. But when I plug the cable into the Anker power banks and then plug that into the phone, nothing happens at all. The cables that came with the power bank don't work at all.

However, I don't think it's a problem with the cables or power banks, as they charge up using their cables and work with other devices, the only problem is that they don't work with the thing I need it to work with most, my S7.

Is it a problem with my phone, or am I using the wrong power banks? I bought the Anker specifically because I read it in several articles as the best one to use with an S7, so I'm kinda thinking it's my phone.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

There's something you're missing here.

A power bank is a source of 5 Volts DC, the same as the wallwart you plug into the wall to charge the phone, the same as your tablet. If you're using a cable that works with the charger plugged into the wall, it will work with a power bank. If the power bank works with the tablet, it will work with the S7. So as I said, there's something you're not telling us.

I'm not withholding any info if that's what you seem to be implying.

I plug my power bank into my phone using the cable that came with it. It doesn't charge and the power bank doesn't light up.

I plug my power bank into my phone using several other cables, including a Samsung cable. Same as above, the phone doesn't charge and it doesn't light up.

I decided to plug the power bank's cable directly into the wall and hook that up to my phone. Nothing.

I then decided to plug my Samsung cable into the wall and hook that up to my phone. It charges successfully. But as I said, I use this same Samsung cable to connect the power bank to my phone, and nothing happens at all.

As I've said before, I'm pretty sure the power bank is working fine, as it is charging when plugged into the wall socket using either the Samsung cable or the cable it shipped with.

The only problem is that when the power bank is plugged into the phone, nothing happens.

Update, I plugged my old S6 into the anker bank with the anker's cable it shipped with and its charging just fine.
