Phones don't show in "This PC"

I want to back up my LG g4 phones to my PC so I can do a factory reset. But when I connect them via USB, neither shows in "This PC." The charging indicators show that each is connected to the PC, but the PC doesn't seem to know this. How can I fix this?

The issue you are having is with your Android device. With your Android phone connected to the PC, go to Settings >>>Hotspot & Teathering>>>USB Teathering, and change the setting from Charging to MFT. Then your Android phone should show up on your PC
