Photo backup question

Can I backup my photos/videos using the Google Phots app and still keep the HTC Gallery app as my default photo management app?bI have a 64GB memory card on my phone to store photos and videos but that'll get full at some point...

Yup, you don't even have to use the Photos app to view your pictures and it'll still back them up (as long as you don't turn off SYNC, of course).

The only 'problem' is that for pictures that are only on the cloud, you'll have to use the Photos app to view them as the HTC's stock Gallery won't be able to access them.
