Photo Reader app?

So there's supposed to be a photo reader app that you can download from the Samsung app store that will scan images and convert any text in the image into an editable document of sorts. I cannot find this app in the Samsung app store. The closest I've found is some random app on the Google store (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...=com.sec.android.app.ocr&hl=en&token=wngPjcsd) which, while sounding like the same thing, is obviously not listed by Samsung.


Any ideas?

Try searching for "OCR", (optical character recognition) that's commonly the name associated with the process of converting an image of text into actual text.

I have a Galaxy S4 with Verizon and I cannot find the app either. Maybe it only comes with ATT phones?

It doesn't come on the AT&T version either.

See if CamScanner fills the bill.

Google Goggles can do this. It's not 100%, but I have gotten it to work on occasions.
