I know there are other threads regarding photo sphere. But this is more of a specific question, and it confirm or get an answer.
Am I correct that once my SGH-I747M gets the 4.1.2 updated, Photo Sphere will be available in the camera?

I'm pretty sure Photosphere is a 4.2 thingie.

You can still install it as long as you have JB. Works fine on 4.1.

Yeah I do not think we will get it in 421. I am running it side by side with the stock camera though and it is pretty cool.

I'm living on the edge and I froze my stock camera and gallery. No smoke has come out yet.

I don't like the way the aosp camera is laid out, and the lack of some options.

I have the one just for photosphere and use the stock for everything else

Where can I get it from to install? Can this be down OTA? or PlaySTore?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but be aware this is not a stand-alone apk that you can install like any normal app. This needs to be flashed using recovery, and requires a rooted phone.

I really don't have a reason to Root my S3 right now, this would be the first reason I had to do so, and i really don't find it THAT important. But I am looking forward to the official release. So not 4.1.2 eh? 4.2 looks to be the release.

Most likely it will be mid 2013 since Samsung have their new line also coming up. But I hope they release it earlier.

You don't have to root to get the photosphere camera, it is a simple apk

Please post a link to the apk. Every download I've seen is a zip that needs to be flashed. The photosphere camera itself may be an apk, but it appears to require certain system services that don't exist before 4.2.

I don't think that's going to work. The Dropbox link he provides is not an apk. It's the same zip that needs to be flashed to work properly. The Mediafire link is dead. The one person who responded on that site said copying the zip file didn't work. DonAndroid doesn't seem to know what he's talking about.

I installed the AOSP camera and gallery allong side of the Samsung's, but it DOES require root.

Yeah, every place I've checked only has the flashable zip.
