best buy has them now for $49.99 and if you sign up for the phone freedom from there website (they send you a text when your upgrade as available and it's free) they give you a $50 dollar gift certificate you can use at the time you activate phone and the phone is free. i just did this and got 2 free photons.( had 2 lines available to upgrade).

I also did this. Picked my new Photon up on Monday! Total cost after taxes was $8!

While you are at it, I actually recommend the Best Buy protection plan. I generally never get extended warranties, but for some reason I got this one, and it was well worth it. I dropped my phone just the right way to shatter the gorilla glass screen, took it back to Best Buy, and they covered it, which I know from previous experience Sprint will not cover. They gave me a loaner while it was out for a few days (another nice little thing Sprint won't do), and then I got a new phone once they deemed it unserviceable. No deductible, no hassle, and there is no limit on how many times you can use the plan.

I'll be doing this to get my Photon from Best Buy, either tomorrow or Sunday. My wife did it last Monday and is purely loving her new phone.

BTW, they usually list it for $49 on the weekends then $99 during the week, but Wal*Mart has them for $49 and Best Buy will price-match.

Just got a Photon from BB for my mom. They messed up and we couldn't get the $50 gift card (or so they said) so they dropped the phone price $50. Then after installing Yahoo! Mail for my mom she had an email for the gift card waiting for her. So she got it for free. Doesn't bother me one bit since they wouldn't honor an old price sign they had up for the EVO Design 4G like MN law says they have to (had last week's free sign up still).

I got my Photon on Saturday, and I'll have to say it has exceeded even my prepared expectations. Even with my friends encouraging me to returin to BlackBerry now that MLB has finally released At Bat for it, I'm not willing to go back to my Style from this.
And since the 9930 Bold sells for $200, that would be a crazy move.
