Photos appear then disappear on FB camera roll

8 years ago I lost my Blackberry which was never synced to any sort of cloud and the precious pictures stored in that phone were gone forever.

Suddenly (8 yrs later), I am planning a trip in Google maps looking at photos of designated place and since it was near an offroad park I was planning to take my Jeep, noticed a mountian that had a grid that looked like a Jeep grill. I was posting this photo to FB and then suddenly, in my camera roll were pictures from 8 yrs ago from the lost Blackberry. None of these pictures were ever posted to FB nor were they saved or stored elsewhere though now, they've since vanished. Even the "Jeep mountian" has disappeared from Google Maps.

Any idea how they suddenly appeared and how or where to retrieve them? Very bizarre...
