Photos in wrong orientation when attaching to an email (not a pic from the gallery, when I use camer

hello!
Since the marshmallow update when I try to take a photo and attach it to a text from my messaging program it won't show the photo in the right orientation. When I take a photo in portrait it turns it to landscape which is a huge PITA for the person on the other end. When i take photos with the phone and they go to the gallery it's fine. Any help would be appreciated!
