Photos, messaging, albums???

Hi so confusion going on here I selected a pic to send to someone,selected share, picked the person's name out of the list and hit send ,ok sounds simple it sent the pic as a album with a link ? Thought I was just sending a picture, no I didn't select album, now I've received a notification where somebody commented on the album picture, but I have no idea how to get there? Swiped to remove the link instead of touching on it to open.

My intention was just to send a picture in the messaging app should have been really simple, so from inside the messaging app no question easy to send pics, wonder why it's doing it this way from the outside.

So there's something entirely different going on here with Android Oreo or Google, that I'm not familiar with, should be really simple to open photos select a picture select share and send without it turning into a linking a album

Ok I knew it was a Google thing somehow just one more step then to go into the messaging app first and pic a recipient.

I was thinking that first line was recent messaging not Google accounts

Have you gone to photos.google.com and try to delete it there?

Okay correct again just got to get off the photo Tab and go to the sharing that's where the albums are.
I thought I was smarter than this

Thanks again issues resolved just learned a couple things

And for future reference this will be a great way to share albums or more than one photo
