Photos on device not all seen by PC, why?

Photos on device not all seen by PC

Ok, here is my issue.

Fully up to date 6p. I have about 700+ photos/videos on the device. I can see them in the photos app as on the device. I connect to a PC and open the Camera folder, only 125 or so show up.

If I jump into ES Explorer, it sees them all there too.

What I did was copy them with ES to a new folder, in this case the Pictures folder used by other apps, and connected to PC. There they all all.

Any ideas on this?

Sorry, can you clarify--are you saying that once you moved those photos and videos to the Pictures directory, the computer can now seem them?
