Photos saved to Photos not gallery SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2

From about the 3rd week of having the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 all the photos started saving to Photos instead of Gallery? It is not a major issue unless I have to attach a photo. Sometimes on the gallery icon appears in the drop down not photos. What so I do to move all photos to Gallery or even the SD card and then make sure when I take a photo they save to gallery and not to photos.
