Photos sent via text - downsized on Verizon

Anyone have any advice for me and my u11? When I send or receive pictures via text message (using Google messages) the pictures are downsized and grainy. They look like crap. When I use other phones they aren't like that. WTH?

I use Verizon messager + no problem at all with picture quality

Well there we go! Messages+ works great. Weird that I can't get other apps to work.

I see the same thing, but I prefer the other messaging apps. It cuts them down to 127kb size.

Any SMS text messaging app will reduce the quality of the photo you are sending. The ones that don't reduce the file size use your internet connection to send and receive pictures. I use WhatsApp for sending photos and video.

I was using android messages as well and had the same issue. So I just gave in to try out textra and I love it! It sends mms at the best possible resolution that your carrier allows.
