Physical keyboard META key seems STUCK

I got a Samsung Galaxy S9+ and whenever I use the USB to Micro USB-C connector to connect my physical keyboard, it seems that the operating system thinks I'm constantly pressing the "META" key (the "Windows" key) as it simply won't type, and for example if I press the "E" key, it will launch the "Email" app.

The "META" key is, however, not pressed. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone who managed to solve it? Googling the questions seems impossible. Maybe because of the generic keywords, but on the other hand.. I still get results only related to the soft keyboard, and this leads me to think not many people have had this issue.

PS! There was, strangely, no category for S9+ here (latest model was S8/S8+) so I just put it in 8.0 Oreo, as that's the OS core.

Welcome to Android Central! Strange that you didn't see the S9+ forum -- I moved the thread there.

Are you able to test the keyboard on another device? Maybe that key is faulty.

Hi!

Thank you. I actually just got off the chat line with Samsung. They claim that any time you see his behavior, it's simply due to incompatibility. So I guess that's that, until some brilliant mind find a way to work around it (tried both Logitech G910 and K380 - the latter being designed for devices).

About trying on another device, I can only try on my laptop, where the keyboard has worked flawlessly for the last 4 years or so.
