Picasa Account But Where Are Pics?

So I see in the accounts you can Add Picasa, which I've done. But when I go to Gallery there are no pictures. The syncs are all completed, I activated this morning. Am I missing something?

Have you set it up in your actual Picasa account? I believe it will only sync pictures in your mobile folder.

Yes, I setup the Picasa account under accounts. And there is no Mobile folder in the Gallery app. Just Camera roll, My Tags, Folder (shows 0 in it), All Photos, All Videos, and Copy protected.

Upload a image from your Droid and it will create it for you.

Nope. I took a picture, selected Share, selected Picasa, and it just let's me then select the folder I want to upload to.

Am I mistaken that it will sync pictures from your Picasa to your phone like the Gallery App on the Nexus One? Is setting up your Picaca in account on the Droid X only allow you to upload to that account? If so that clears it up then.

If very well may work that way. I have not used Picasa in a long while. Sorry I could not help you out better.

NP, thanks for trying. I do have a feeling that it is just for uploading, not syncing pics to the phone. Not a BIG deal breaker for me but was a cool feature to have.

Yes, its just for uploading, not syncing every shot you take.

Do you have any pictures on your Picasa account?
Upload some with your computer. Make sure you can see those first.

Then upoad with Gallery app, and wait till you get the Notification that your uploads finished. (Worst case, you might have to leave the Gallery, and re-enter. You should then see an album called drop box with your Uploads.)

You might have your Primary Gmail account set up not to sync Picasa Web Albums.
Check Settings, Accounts and Sync.

Most Verizon users abandon the Verizon created Gmail account and just switch to their own. They just shut off all sync with that account. (I don't know if you can delete that Gmail account from the phone or not). Just because you send someone email doesn't mean you want them to have your phone number.
