Picking up a new Nexus 7 later today what defects if any should i look out for?

as with most devices that first batch can have some "issues" i was wondering if there is anything i should look out for

There don't seem to be any widespread issues yet; the built quality and quality control are much better than last year. Time will tell us the reliability. So far all is well, buy one and enjoy the heck out of it!

The device itself is great there are some issues but it's software with 4.3 and a few apps. Google seems to be aware though so just enjoy it. It is a very nice tablet.

I've only seen one other person report it here, but my first n7, had a malfunctioning brightness sensor. In auto brightness mode screen would flicker and blackout in the 20-35% brightness range. Would also do that if manually set in that range.

So far so good, with my second one.
