Pics come in a Movies

When I receive a text message with pictures. The pics have a play arrow in the middle. When touched, the pic open and technically plays for 5 secs and stop, with the pic still in view, but it can't be zoomed at all without saving it to the gallery first. Is this a bug or just a dump characteristic of the messenger that comes with the phone?

It's a characteristic of the MMS on the phone.

If so, that was poorly thoughtout. or simply not thoughout at all. Guess I have to download a different MMS app.

Yeah that's super annoying. Does anyone know of a way around that, shy of new software?

It did the same thing ob the Galaxy S2.
