Pics not showing in gallery

Anybody have any idea why pictures from another phone or camera dont show up in gallery? I transfered them to the sd card and they don't show up. Any help please. Thanks

Unmount and remount you sd card (Settings>SD card & phone storage). If that doesn't fix it, try a reboot. Your sd card basically needs to be forced to re-index itself.

thanks, I will try the unmount, but i did reboot and nothing. the pictures show up in file explorer, and I can view it but just not in gallery..thanks


edit* unmounting/mounting worked. thanks again!
