Picture attaching from mms

When trying to attach a picture from the mms app. Why isn't there a preview of the pic before having to attach it?

I don't use the Stock SMS/MMS app, but when I go into Gallery and select a picture for MMS I can preview the image. I use Go SMS and can preview the images I attach using MMS. It appears that each of these (using Gallery or Go SMS app) are different, so I'm thinking the Gallery launches the stock app. Your profile says you are using a custom ROM... is that true??? It might be your ROM.
