Picture quality S7 vs N8

The picture quality of the N8 compared to my S7 seem to be fussy, or have to take them more than once. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a fw upgrade like the S7 had after if first came out to improve things?

Not having that issue, at least compared to my S7E. I've only taken 30-40 pictures with the Note 8, but all of the pictures are at least as good my S7E took. I have not messed with the camera settings at all on the N8 yet.
