Pictures are out of focus

HTC One V. When I look at the screen before taking the picture, it's clear. When I push the button to take the picture, the freeze-frame is clear. Then I watch the picture go out of focus as it's saved.

Why? Is there a blurify my pictures option I'm not seeing?

Look at the picture on a computer if it still looks out of focus you have a problem.

It's blurry on a computer.

I don't get why it would be sharp until the moment it actually takes the picture. Hugely annoying.
