Pictures, how to move them, use, them and get them of "Time"

I am a big fan of pictures on my Galaxy phone and the S4 worked like a dream. I could move pictures around between folders and post use them with ease. When I received the S6 that all halted almost instantaneously !! I can't maneuver pictures between folders, everything appears hung up on the "Time" and the "Cloud", I am VERY frustrated with the pictures and using them now.
