Moto G4 Plus - Camera Shots from Users

So just grabbed a few quick samples while setting this thing up. The autofocus is FAST, so is shutter speed, almost no lag in the UI before being ready to take the next shot.

I'm at work and the lighting sucks, but overall I'm pretty happy with it considering I did absolutely no setup on these shots. Move the camera, let auto focus do its thing (takes almost no time), hit the button, share. For a $300 phone this is VERY capable.

Was that first pic of your keyboard as close as you could get? Those are pretty good shots if your lighting isn't perfect!!!

I didn't really plan it out, haven't tried any macro shots yet. This phone is going to be my wife's daily driver for a little while until the Z comes out.

How is the camera launch time?

With double press power button, takes about 2 seconds to be ready to shoot. From the home screen with the app icon it's about .5 seconds.

@Clocks I did get some heat when I was taking a bunch of still photos but I was also downloading all my apps at the time, so I think that's enough variance that I want to try out stills and video later still to see if I feel heat then. The heat was near the power button.

Alright got a few more shots and I'm getting much more mixed results. One thing is that the phone definitely does heat up a little bit from using the camera for awhile.

Zoom quality on that truck outdoors photo seems to be pretty decent.

I didn't select the focus on any of these shots, just pointed, let it choose and fired. So obviously I'm not a pro photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm fairly happy with what I'm seeing here for a $300 phone.

I have not (and I handed the phone off to my wife, it's her daily driver until the Z drops). I'll see if I can get some camera time tonight or tomorrow morning from her and try out Google.

All but the tall skinny one are 16 MP 4:3, which I think is roughly 3450 x 4600. The tall skinny one would be 12 MP 16:9.

Any of these in HDR mode. I'm really thinking of getting this phone and camera is the thing I like to use most. My moto 2 and 3 did good in night shots and days were good too. Overall you are happy with the camera.

HDR was on auto, flash off, otherwise i didn't mess with settings at all.
