Pin Entry Screen Keeps Re-Appearing

[Android Central Question]

When I enter my pin to log in to my tablet, it is accepted as the correct pin. However, after a few seconds, it just goes back to the "pin entry" screen instead of the home screen. Any ideas on how I can log in to the tablet?

Try Safe Mode.

If no go, the device may be failing.

Which tablet?
With the information you provided most likely vyou going factory reset in recovery.

Thanks for the responses! I tried getting into safemode by powering it with both volume buttons pressed, but this didn't solve the issue. I made it to the boot menu, and applied a factory reset, and now I'm just waiting for the updates to install. Hopefully when that's done, the tablet will still be usable.

Oh, and the tablet is a Vankyo MatrixPad S7.7 running Android 9.0.
