pinch to zoom

I was just curious. I have an epic and a friend of mine has a captivate. Today when we were comparing phones, on his captivate he could not zoom in and make the text on the yahoo web page larger. On the epic i can either pinch to zoom or i have a plus and minus icon that appears on the bottom of the page. I figured since they were both samsung phones they would be the same. Is this normal for the captivate? Thx.

I'm able to pinch &zoom on the yahoo main site, but when I do a search and it changes to looking at the choices. I am unable to pinch &zoom. Also there is no button to make it happen. I went into setting's and changed to large for the default letters. With my sight problem I wish it would have the ability to increase the size.
Once I chose the site I want to view I am able to increase the size.
