Hey!
So pre ordered the S8 plus and received it on 28th April. Camera wasn't working so contacted Samsung who said they would replace it. Took them over 20 days to replace it which involved a phone call a day. Once I received the exchanged handset (refurbished) and gave my old one back and the exchanged one had pink blotches all over the screen. Contacted Samsung as I tried the whole changing the red and whites of the edge of the screen but didn't work. They sent me another handset (again refurbished) which had pink tint the whole way down the left hand side of the screen and along the top of the screen. Contacted Samsung and they said I was outside the 30 days (because I had to wait 20 of them on another handset). They told me I would have to go to the Samsung Repair centre and for them to assess it. They said it needed a new screen which I had to wait 5 days for. Came in yesterday, got it fitted today and the screen is worse. It's got pink down the left hand side, along the top and down the screen too with a green tint down it. Guy in repair centre said to contact customer services again and they said no to a refund and they have stopped giving out exchanges. I am at my wits end with this stupid phone. I've always had a samsung phone but I would never buy from samsung directly ever again. Their customer services has been nothing but awful since day one!! Anyone els3 having this trouble with their screen?

Thanks
Mel

Yeah man, I'm in the same boat. No exchange etc etc.
Nothing to be done about. YouTube only shows fantastic reviews with amazing experiences. Must be just us then.
Anyway, as a day1 purchaser I also had to wait for the update. After that too late for an exchange. They recalibrated my screen, but it's not better. Still too much red, not enough blue. Edge temperature not balancing my edges.

But again, we have to sit it out. No news anymore about any further fix so we're stuck with it.
I'm already done with it, no joy looking at my screen, no excitement. Just reddish, then later it's cool, only to get reddish again. Amoled modes really too much red so unusable. The list goes on and on.
But ultimately I'm unhappy about this phone from day 1.

I couldn't agree more. I hate even looking at the phone. Just want a refund and be done with it already. Not on at all!!!

I'm pretty much a day 1 purchaser had a slight tint which i fixed with the provided options, also took advantage of the promotion to get a free speaker, had to contact them because they said it would ship in 72 hours waited 2 weeks and oddly enough less than 24 hours after i contacted them and got an answer i received the shipping details lolz so yeah guess i kinda have to agree that their customer service aint really good, but for the phone part,i've had multiple samsungs and never had any issues with any of em lolz. I'd call that mostly bad luck (plus refurbrished are never a good idea imo) you should've went to your carrier instead with the first one since it was defective.

Again i'll point out of it's not obvious enough that this is my own opinion.

Thanks for posting. Couldn't go to my carrier as I bought the phone outright through Samsung. I've never had any bother with any of my other Samsung phones but this one has been terrible :(

Yeah lots of people having different issues unfortunately,if even after the last 2 patches (if you had those ofc) you still experience problems with red tint that can't be fixed with provided options there's not really anything to do but to either get over it (i know you paid lots of money for it but i don't know any company that would let you trade 100 phones until you're satisfied anyway) or simply trade/sell and get a new one

Sorry it didn't work out for ya though =/ it's such a great phone (when you have no issues ofc xD)

If it makes you feel any better you're not alone. Pink blotch or blob in the middle of screen. Mainly noticeable reading text on white background. Yah it bothers me. But I'm too old now and I just decided to deal with it because I know I could have bigger problems with an exchange.

I think it's absolutely deplorable that you are being treated that way.

So I had to contact the CEO of Samsung to get something done about this S8 Plus. Gave them all my details and pictures of the screen issues and after about a week they agreed to refund me. I walked into Argos and bought another S8 Plus and the screen is perfect......FINALLY!!x

I'm so sorry this happened to you so many times. Very surprised they wouldn't give you a refund.

This is a shot in the dark here, but perhaps try selling the phone. Some people buy phones for their parts and for tinkering around with them. It sucks that it comes down to this but at least you'd get a little bit of money back.

I'd stay away from that Samsung vendor. Get the stores real name. I think that store has a practice of "give this customer refurbished and defective unit until his 30 days expire". The replacement should be brand new unit not refurbished, you didn't shell out a large amount of money just to buy refurbished. I'd report that store to your governments trade department.
